Everything you need to know about window paintings and murals. Get one for holidays and special promotions!

Determining your Needs

Window splashes are a creative way to catch passerby’s attention and make your store stand out. They can be customized and updated as needed. Splashes can consist of a fun seasonal theme like Halloween or Christmas, promotions or a combination of both.

Selfie Walls are a great option to encourage social sharing while promoting your business.

Murals create a distinct and welcoming space for workers and visitors alike.

The Process

After we determine your needs I bring my paint and brushes and get to work. I start by laying out the design over the various windows to determine the size and exact placement of each item. Then I paint each outlined item in white to ensure that the light bounces back when hitting the windows and brightens the colors applied on top of the base. The next step is to fill in all the details in color, then add the shadows and highlights. During the final step I add any text and all the black outlines.

Yes, for temporary and seasonal splashes I will return upon request to remove it at a later date so you don’t have to worry about hiring a window cleaner.

Pricing

Seasonal Window Splashes: Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Day of the Dead and of course Christmas, these are all fun options to brighten your windows and your customers’ day. Seasonal themed windows are around $75 per window depending on the size and complexity of the design. These can of course be combined with promotions like “Summer Sale!” or “Winter Special!.”

Large Promotional Window Splashes: Big promotions like storewide sales events are around $200 per window depending on the window size and amount of text.

Murals: These require a different kind of paint and process and include a concepting phase. The cost ranges between $15 to $25 per square foot depending on the complexity of the design and height of the location. I charge $100 to create a couple of initial concepts based on initial instructions. The price for these concepts is non-refundable but applied to the cost of the final project once I receive the full go-ahead.
